Re: where is everybody?
We tried raiding a keep last night, we failed, but it was huge fun. Defending is not really the problem, taking the keep is a bitch lol
Aight, Eva... if you ever want to give War a shot, we are here
I might be back for WotLK, but doubt it.

Re: where is everybody?
We decided to lvl alts in hopes you would get tired of waiting and switch sides.
Seriously lol At least a few of us have stopped lvling waiting for most of our ranks to reach us in lvl and grow as a guild. It's really a moving and touching experience.

Re: where is everybody?
how is LOTRO, Eva? I read they are or have released an expansion called Mines of Moria? I loved that part of the books. if nothing else, the lore of the game was pretty damn good.

Re: where is everybody?
i'm loving it so far, but i'm a tolkien freak. i think the reason i didnt like it before is that i was playing vanguard and it seemed to be more of the same. the graphics are alot like vanguard, not cartoony like wow, more like eq but better. but somehow they manage to not force you to have a nuclear powered computer to play, like vanguard did. now that i'm revisiting it, i'm really enjoying it.
its on alot smaller scale than wow and eq as far as races and classes. also the class skill distribution is pretty weird. there's one main healer class and its a bard lol. that cracks me up. there are other classes that can heal others but not themselves. there are talent like things you can buy to customize your char. there's a class that can mezz and you can mezz *more than one thing at a time YAY*. the tradeskills are somewhere between wow and eq in difficulty. not a slam dunk like wow but not really annoying like eq. there's also housing, though its instanced .
and yah, mines of moria is coming out really soon i think. and this is the coolest thing about lotro imo. you play it as if you're reading the book. there's chapters you finish in quests, and as you do, you progress through the story. its only a lore thing i think, because the world looks the same no matter what part of the story you're in(i think). but right now, the only area thats open is eriador, which is the shire and bree and most of whats on the west side of the misties. mines of moria opens up moria (obviously, and its supposed to be huge) and lorien. yay lorien. i love lorien. and some other area i forget. and then later expansions will open up rohan and gondor and mordor, etc. so cool.

Eva, your inner geek is showing!
There's not enough talk about the nude comment made by Jecs earlier. I'm intrigued~

Hmmm, I'm a huge LotR fans myself. My curiosity is peeked. Does it have a monthly online fee? I am not yet burned out on WoW, so I'm waiting on Lich King, but if LotR is free, it sounds right up my alley!

Re: where is everybody?
LOTRO might have a trial period but its definately pay per month.
I enjoyed playing that game, I played til almost end level at the time (a year or 2 ago), but I did play some. At the time it was a lot like EQ and you were fooked if you couldnt get a group, the Chapters are damn tough. But I did like the crafting. Now that I think about it, I played into the free expansion Everdim (sp?).

Re: where is everybody?
there is a fee, i cant remember what it is, i got some kind of a deal for re-subbing. and the chapters are hard, it is kind of like eq that way, you have to group for some stuff. but i actually dont think thats such a bad thing. the *really* good thing about it is that the kiddies don't seem to be there (kiddies is a general term that doesnt denote age, it means immature people from 10 to 60). i haven't run into alot of that kind of mentality, and when i do, those people are usually told to go back to wow, lol.

Re: where is everybody?
Agreed, I am waiting for those such players in War to return to WoW lol Although, personally, it doesn't feel like it does in WoW, but we do get one or two. Usually it's the same one over and over and he/she just ends up on ignore. I have 7 ppl on ignore that fit the kiddie description. I only put kiddies on ignore.
